Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Pheni ("we", "us"), operated by Alex Lynn Buntrock, collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit pheni-us.com or buy from us, and the choices and rights you have. Effective date: September 18, 2026.

1. Data Controller

The business responsible for your personal information is Alex Lynn Buntrock, 2234 East Oak Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006-2051, United States, reachable at support@pheni-us.com. Our store runs on Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes orders on our behalf. This policy applies to information collected through pheni-us.com, by email and our contact and return forms.

2. Categories of Personal Information

The personal information we handle falls into these groups: (1) contact and identity data such as your name, email, postal addresses and phone number; (2) transaction data — what you bought, when, and the payment method used, with card details handled entirely by Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and never stored by us in full; (3) correspondence, including support requests, return forms and product reviews; (4) technical data collected automatically — IP address, device and browser information, pages visited and how you interact with them, via cookies described in our Cookie Policy; and (5) your marketing choices.

3. Retention Periods

Retention is tied to purpose: transaction data stays for 7 years (tax and warranty), support tickets for 3 years, marketing consent records until you opt out plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again, and technical logs for up to 12 months. After that, we delete or anonymize the data unless we must keep it for a legal claim or a statutory obligation.

4. Purposes of Processing

Your information is used for the purposes for which you gave it and for related purposes you would reasonably expect: fulfilling and shipping orders and keeping you informed about them; answering questions and resolving problems; detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions; meeting our legal and accounting obligations; understanding how the Site is used so we can improve it; and marketing, only where you have agreed or where the law allows us to contact existing customers about similar products, always with an easy way to opt out.

5. Third Parties

Your data is shared with service providers that help us deliver what you bought, each bound to use it only for that purpose: Shopify, which hosts our store; Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and the payment networks, for payment and fraud screening; carriers and warehouses in the United States, China and the European Union — including USPS, UPS and JS Express — which receive delivery details; the email, messaging and help-desk tools we use to support you; and analytics and advertising platforms that set cookies on the Site (see the Cookie Policy for controls). We also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect our rights. We never sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except through the cookie-based advertising you can opt out of.

6. Marketing Emails

If you subscribe to our newsletter or make a purchase, we may send you promotional emails about products, offers and news from Pheni. Every marketing email identifies us as the sender, includes our postal address (2234 East Oak Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006-2051, United States) and contains an unsubscribe link; opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act, and you will continue to receive transactional emails about your orders. You can also unsubscribe by writing to support@pheni-us.com.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Regardless of the state you live in, you can ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information (subject to legal retention); receive a portable copy of it; and opt out of marketing, of targeted advertising cookies (on the Cookie preferences page), and of any sale or sharing of your data (we do not sell it). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Send requests to support@pheni-us.com with the subject "Privacy request"; we verify your identity using the email associated with your orders and respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, we explain why and you may appeal by replying to our response. Do Not Track: our Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control opt-out signals for targeted advertising where technically supported.

8. Minors

We do not sell to or knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA). Should we learn that we hold information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we delete it. Parents or guardians who have concerns can reach us at support@pheni-us.com.

9. Data Security

We protect personal information with technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk: the Site is served over HTTPS/TLS, payments are processed by PCI-DSS certified providers, access to customer data is limited to people who need it, and our platform providers maintain independent security certifications. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy is reviewed regularly. When we change it, the new version is posted here with a new effective date; significant changes are also communicated by a notice on the Site or by email. We encourage you to check this page from time to time.
